  • Title:A Fuzzy-Based Real-Time Auto-Scaling Mechanism for IoT Applications

    Abstract

Both of fog and edge computing provide a more flexible and elastic service environment than cloud computing. In order to strengthen service scalability, container virtualization technology has been proposed and studied in recent years. The trade-off between service scalability and operating expenses is vital to IoT applications. The talk presents an auto-scaling mechanism for IoT applications. The auto-scaling mechanism is proposed on the basis of fuzzy theory. Moreover, an integrated virtualization platform is implemented to realize the proposed auto-scaling mechanism. The framework provides a better service scalability with less average delay and error rate for IoT applications.
